So I use my Gmail drafts folder as an all-purpose notebook, because it's easy to copy/paste from it and I get tired of saving things on the wrong machine or losing writing in a computer crash.

And then I wind up with strange, strange abandoned ideas in there sometimes. The bums-with-dreadlocks of my writing drawer. Like the following:

"name a badly behaved cat "Jesus" so that people can say "Oh, Jesus!" when the cat poops in their shoes."

That is all.
Carry on with your business.

You know about Google docs right? They are free and come with a gmail account and offer a good deal of storage. If you go to "drive" on your google account, you'll find them and can create documents where you paste your writing. I keep a lot of writing in there as a backup since like you, I don't want to depend on my own computer in case it dissolves. Now, the docs are out in the Google cloud. I just bought an external hard drive so that will help too, but you can't be too careful.

Years back, I visited a friend in SF who'd recently acquired two kittens. In a similar vein to your story-idea, he named 'em Scratch 'n' Sniff.

Amberite, naming a cat Jesus so people can blaspheme is just wrong! Which is why you should do it. And then mail your story to Westboro Baptist Church.
